An Introduction

     Welcome, dear reader, to F stop YEAH stop.  The name is a photography reference.  It is a morse code/radio communication reference.  And while this blog will have nothing to do with the long-distance communication systems of yesteryear, it does allow me to exclaim my excitement for experimenting with photography with a necessary degree of emphatic joy.

     Perhaps I should explain what's going on here.  I am by no means an expert on photography, nor do I consider myself more than a mere hobbyist, but I do know that there are others like me who would like a resource for learning and experimenting with a DIY style of photography.  There will be no pedantry.  I will not get techy.  I will be thorough.  I will try to keep the posts coming.  Since I am fairly new to photography and very new to blogging (we're talking 15 minutes) there will be much to learn.  And learning is really what this is really all about.
